Hepatitis Risk
Shockingly one in 12 people worldwide are living with either chronic hepatitis B or hepatitis C. While this is far higher than the prevalence of HIV or any cancer, awareness is inexplicably low and the majority of those infected areunaware.

Persons with chronic HBV infection are at risk for premature death from liver cirrhosis and cancer. Hepatitis B vaccination of infants worldwide will protect successive generations from chronic HBV infection and associated liver disease. Persons already infected with HBV can benefit from HBV screening, care, and treatment to protect their health and prevent transmission to others. The HBV-related death rate among Asians/Pacific Islanders is seven times greater than the rate among whites. Hepatitis C is a systemic blood borne virus that primarily attacks the liver. It is spread by blood to blood contact. There is no vaccine for Hepatitis C.

Each of these viruses has its own way of being transmitted. Because viral hepatitis impacts all communities, now is a great time to inform people about these viruses and ways to reduce the risk of their transmission.

At HealthImpetus, we have teamed up well-known Hepatologist and have been conducting Hepatitis awareness camps across Pan-India
